| Rocky’s 7th Anniversary Celebration |
| Dear [[firstname]],
Hello and welcome to the September edition of the Rocky’s newsletter. It’s been a busy month and we have lots to report to you on, so thank you for staying tuned to our newsletters.
After the monk’s blessing, we were given a show by a local troupe of traditional Thai dancers using the delicate hand gestures and costumes which characterize this centuries old tradition.
Also there are some exciting events happening, great promotions on at the moment, and some wonderful feedback from our guests, so keep reading. Have a wonderful September and hope to see you at Rocky’s soon. Kind Regards, Erik Larsen |

August 19th marked the 7th Anniversary of Rocky’s Resort, quite a milestone for us, and one which we celebrated in typical Rocky’s style. In the morning, after a blessing at each of our spirit houses, a procession of nine monks arrived at the resort. The monks proceeded down the pathway with our staff lined up on either side to give offerings to each monk.
Following the parade, the monks proceeded to our banquet room where we were treated to a blessing and chanting. The monks make a magical sound when they do their chanting, which they also do for our Buddhist Weddings. It’s really something special to see.
In the evening, our chef prepared an outstanding set menu dinner with wine selected by our Dipl. Sommelier, Florian. The evening was a great success, and the fireworks at the end were outstanding. It’s hard for us to believe it’s been seven years. It seems at once a moment and a lifetime. We have really come a long way from our origins!

Rocky’s Executive Chef, Azizkander Awang, recently joined a small group of the most elite chefs on the island of Koh Samui in a joint-promotion called the Secret Chef’s society. The inaugural event took place at Nikki Beach, Koh Samui and was a huge success, with over 200 people in attendance. The event featured booths from each of the six restaurants taking part, giving each chef a chance to showcase their cuisine. Members of the Secret Chef’s Society will receive discounts and special offers at selected restaurants.
